Just putting this out there..
One this I really, REALLY dislike about internet pages, be it Tumblr blogs, MySpace pages, internet in general, etc..is music that automatically plays..
Now I’m fine with, “Hey, User. We have this music on our page/blog/site. Would you like to play?” That at least gives me the option to listen to it. Then if I get annoyed by it, it’s my chalked on my shoulders for trying it. Then I won’t be upset at the page, etc. and not look at it again.
I do have another exception. YouTube. Well..any music/video based site, really. That’s what we’re there for. Even if they music/video/vlog is, in my opinion, horrid, I don’t get upset with YouTube pages that have autoplay setup. I went to that channel to poke around at it. It’s normal and acceptable. Text/picture based blogging sites/informative sites/etc. that aren’t music based need to get rid of this autoplay feature. Seriously.
I might seem like a little bitch for this..but there are things that I won’t look further into solely due to sites “greeting” me in the face with loud, obnoxious music..be it good, terrible or otherwise. It annoys the piss out of me. Especially when I have my own music going..they rarely mix well..often times giving me a shitty music induced headache.
Any who..I’m going back to my music.
